This is an investment account, which attracts interest rate higher than savings account. The bank operates ordinary fixed deposit accounts for different periods that are 30, 60, 90,180 and 364 days. It is subject to withholding tax.

To apply, you will need to provide the following:

For customers without a regular account:

• Deposit mandate form and two signature cards will be filled.
• Two passport photographs and means of ID
• Reference forms to be filled and submitted if cheques will be lodged into the account and issued in favour of third parties. Customers should also be informed of Commission on Turnover (COT) charges on 3rd party withdrawals.

For customers with existing accounts:

• Proof of a deposit taken, which specifies name, account number, deposit amount, duration of deposit and signature.
