Ballama Manu holds a B.Sc in Accounting (First Class Honours) from Ahmadu Bello University Zaria and an M.Sc in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science. He was formerly the Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service, Executive Director of the Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation and   Acting President of The Nigerian Stock Exchange.

Ballama Manu has served on the Board of Union Bank PLC as Executive Director Information Technology as well as Executive Director, Operations Up Country & Special Products.

He currently serves as an Independent Non-Executive Director on the Board of PZ Cussons Nigeria PLC and a Non-Executive Director on the Board of Stanbic IBTC Insurance Limited
